2. Health & Safety
IMPORTANT: You must obtain clearance from your General Practitioner (GP) or qualified medical professional before beginning any yoga, exercise, or wellness programme offered through The Edge. By subscribing, you confirm that you have received such clearance and that you are medically fit to participate.
2.1 Medical Clearance & Personal Responsibility
- You represent and warrant that you are in good physical and mental health and that no medical condition, injury, or disability prevents you from safely participating in yoga and wellness activities.
- If at any time you become aware of a change in your health status that may affect your ability to participate safely, you agree to cease participation immediately and seek medical advice.
- Participation in any class, programme, or activity offered by The Edge is entirely voluntary. You assume full and complete responsibility for your own health, safety, and wellbeing during participation.
- You agree to listen to your body, modify or rest when necessary, and never push beyond your personal limits. The guidance provided is general in nature and is not a substitute for personalised medical or physiotherapy advice.
- If you are pregnant, have recently given birth, have undergone surgery, or have any chronic health condition (including but not limited to cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, or any musculoskeletal condition), you must obtain specific medical clearance before participating and must inform Us so that appropriate modifications can be suggested.
2.2 Limitation of Liability for Injury
- We accept no liability whatsoever for any injury, illness, loss, damage, cost, or expense (whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise) sustained by you or any third party in connection with your participation in any class, programme, or activity offered through The Edge.
- We are not liable for any aggravation of a pre-existing condition arising from your participation.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage to personal property occurring during or in connection with your use of the Service.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own proven negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
- You agree to indemnify and hold Us harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
2.3 General Wellness Disclaimer
The Edge provides yoga instruction, general health-related information, and wellness guidance for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing within the Service constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your GP or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read, heard, or seen through the Service.
3. Subscription, Payments & Refunds
3.1 Subscription & Billing
- The Edge operates on a monthly subscription basis. Your subscription fee is due and payable at the beginning of each Membership Period.
- By subscribing, you authorise Us (or our payment processor) to charge the applicable subscription fee to your nominated payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- All prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- We reserve the right to amend the subscription fee. You will be given no less than 30 days' written notice of any price change. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
3.2 No Refunds Policy
ALL SUBSCRIPTION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Once payment has been processed for a Membership Period, no refund will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to non-use, dissatisfaction, or early cancellation. This policy applies to all partial months and full months alike.
3.3 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time by following the cancellation procedure set out on the platform or by contacting Us at intuitiveyogaandhealing@gmail.com.
- Cancellation takes effect from your next renewal date. You will retain full access to the Service until the end of your current paid Membership Period.
- If you cancel before your next renewal date, you will continue to have access to the Service until that renewal date passes. No further charges will be applied after cancellation.
- It is your sole responsibility to cancel before your renewal date if you do not wish to be charged for the following Membership Period. We are unable to issue refunds for charges that occur because cancellation was not completed before the renewal date.
3.4 Discount Codes
- Discount codes are issued at Our sole and absolute discretion. They are personal to the individual to whom they are issued and are non-transferable.
- If We determine, at Our sole discretion, that a discount code has been used by someone other than the individual for whom it was issued, We reserve the right to either: (a) require immediate payment of the full standard subscription fee for the Membership Period(s) in which the code was used; or (b) cancel the relevant membership with immediate effect.
- Any decision regarding the application of this clause is final and not subject to appeal.
- We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any discount code at any time without notice.
4. Class Schedule, Holidays & Time Off
4.1 Bank & Public Holidays
No live classes will be scheduled on UK bank holidays or public holidays. Where a scheduled class falls on such a day, a pre-recorded replacement or an archived class from previous live sessions will be made available.
4.2 Quarterly Teaching & Planning Leave
In order to maintain the highest possible standard of instruction, We take a short period of teaching and planning leave each quarter. Wherever practicable, this will be scheduled across two consecutive working days spanning two calendar months — for example, Wednesday and Thursday of the last week of one month, and Monday and Tuesday of the first week of the following month (e.g. 29–30 July and 3–4 August). During this period:
- Live classes will not be held.
- Replacement classes will be posted — either newly recorded sessions or selected recordings from the archive of previous live classes.
- Additional classes may be offered at alternative times or on different days as a substitute for missed live sessions.
- You will be given advance notice of planned leave dates wherever possible.
4.3 Annual Leave
We are entitled to take up to 28 days of annual leave per calendar year, in line with the standard full-time statutory entitlement in the United Kingdom. During annual leave periods:
- Live classes will not be held.
- Pre-recorded replacement classes or archived sessions from past live classes will be made available to ensure continuity of content.
- We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of annual leave periods.
4.4 Class Cancellation Due to Illness
In the event that a live class is cancelled due to the teacher's illness, a recommended recording from previous live sessions will be suggested as a replacement. No monetary compensation or credit will be provided for classes cancelled due to illness.
5. Classes & Content
5.1 Live Classes & On-Demand Access
Membership of The Edge is not contingent upon your ability to attend live classes. All live transmissions are designed to be experienced at the time of broadcast or at any point thereafter on an on-demand basis within your active Membership Period.
Our philosophy is one of quality over quantity. We do not operate a high-volume, high-frequency class model. Experience demonstrates that the unsustainable schedule of early-morning-to-late-evening classes, designed solely for convenience, leads to teacher burnout and a consequent decline in the quality of instruction. The finest teachers maintain a more focused and potent schedule. You are investing in the quality of instruction and the depth of transformation available to you — not in an unlimited timetable delivered by an exhausted teacher.
We encourage you to attend live classes where possible; however, if you are unable to do so, all live classes will be archived and available for unlimited replay for the duration of your active membership.
5.2 Content Availability & Changes
- We reserve the right to amend, replace, or withdraw any class or piece of content at any time without notice.
- We do not guarantee that any specific class, teacher, or format will remain available throughout your membership.
- We will endeavour to maintain a consistent and high-quality library of content for Members.
6. Online Community
6.1 Purpose
The live online community included with your membership exists for two primary purposes: (a) to enable Us to share important information, updates, and announcements with Members; and (b) to provide a space for Members to communicate and connect with one another.
6.2 Community Standards
All Members are expected to engage with the community in a respectful, courteous, and constructive manner. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Hate speech of any kind, including content that discriminates on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or targeted abuse of any Member or third party.
- Defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise unlawful content.
- Spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotion of third-party commercial services.
6.3 Enforcement
- Any Member found to be in breach of the community standards, at Our sole and absolute discretion, will receive one formal written warning.
- If the behaviour continues following the warning, the Member's subscription will be terminated with immediate effect and no refund will be issued.
- We reserve the right, in cases of serious or egregious breach, to terminate a membership without prior warning.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive space for all Members is a core value of The Edge, and We will act decisively to protect that environment.
6.4 Our Engagement with the Community
- We are under no obligation to respond to individual comments posted in the community space.
- We will endeavour to read all comments and, where appropriate, to address questions or themes raised by the community in general.
- If you have a specific personal question that you do not wish to post publicly, please contact Us directly at intuitiveyogaandhealing@gmail.com.
- Please note that We are unable to provide individual yoga or health advice in response to general enquiries without the context of a formal one-to-one consultation.
7. Intellectual Property
- All Content made available through The Edge, including but not limited to videos, recordings, written materials, course materials, logos, and branding, is the exclusive intellectual property of Intuitive Yoga & Healing and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Your membership grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Content for your own private, non-commercial purposes during your active Membership Period.
- You must not download (unless expressly permitted), copy, share, redistribute, broadcast, sell, or otherwise exploit any Content without Our prior written consent.
- Breach of this clause may result in immediate termination of your membership without refund and may expose you to legal action.
8. Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership at any time and without prior notice if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any provision of these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or used the Service in a manner that is harmful to Us, other Members, or third parties. In such circumstances no refund will be issued.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. We will provide you with reasonable notice of material changes via the platform or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any amended Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
